I'm not sure what's going on here. Anyone using the AUR is expected to know how makepkg works. Understanding what PGP keys are and what they mean to makepkg is part of this.

That you guys apparently don't even realize what package you're building (going by all the libc++ comments posted here) is all the more surprising. Enable Brain 1.0, stop using AUR helpers and read the output on the damn console.

Any comments relating PGP keys, AUR helpers, or any topic which could be solved by reading the wiki will be deleted. Any upstream issues regarding Discord will similarly also be deleted. People who are stubborn about it will see their accounts suspended.

Does anyone else have mic issues using this?

My Mic works great when I install Discord via flatpak, but with this one I have lots of noise.

@Ponas make sure you're actually have 0.0.9 installed.

I'm glad libc++ doesn't seem to be a dependency for this anymore. Installing it with yay worked no problem. :)

So if y'all encounter major latency issues, try in the discord.desktop "env PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 /path/to/discord". It fixes a lot of weird issues I have had.

Doesn't seem to depend on gconf anymore either.

Why does this package require libc++ and not libstdc++5?

Morganamilo commented on 2019-04-19 00:00

@nikpix discord didn't used to require it, then they added it as a dependency. I wouldn't be surprised if they randomly removed it.

Radioactiveman commented on 2019-04-18 22:39

A .desktop file only requires 644 permissions. This has been fixed already on 2018-06-04, but was later reverted again for whatever reason.

Got it to work using libstdc++5 (from official Repos) instead of libc++. Just swap dependencies in PKGBUILD. No errors or bugs so far. Hope it helps!
