Thanks @quebin31!

Just added your prepare

I'm also getting the error:

install: cannot stat 'deno': No such file or directory

Please update your PKGBUILD, seems like deno.gz isn't extracting correctly because gunzip can't resolve symlinks in $srcdir.

I've fixed the error adding this before package():

prepare() {
  gunzip -d --force "${_pkgname}.gz"

I'm getting the error

install: cannot stat 'deno': No such file or directory

You should check if deno.gz exists and remove it at the end of package() so users don't have to clean their cache or files manually.

EDIT: Something like this to remove the symlink and file.

rm -f ../deno.gz || true
rm -f ../../deno.gz || true

If you're using yay try clean building. If not just delete and re download the directory

Getting a checksum error after the update to 0.3.8-1. EDIT: Nevermind, had the package cached, so it didn't download the new one. Had to clear /var/tmp/pamac-build-{username} directory.
