yochananmarqos: Thank you for the feedback and your PKGBUILD. I've added the runtime dependencies that you mentioned and fixed the issue relating to the unnecessary copying of the system electron.

You're missing a couple runtime dependencies for the tray icon: libappindicator-gtk3 & libnotify.

EDIT: Do not copy the bundled Electron since you're using the system Electron per Electron package guidelines. See my PKGBUILD.

milk: I'd rather not change the dependency to electron3-bin since that would mean that other packages like electron3-git that might be created in the future would be incompatibe. electron3-bin provides electron3 and therefore will satisfy the dependency. I've updated the PKGBUILD to work with the system electron (that was actually not yet the case) and made sure that it will work with electron3-bin.

Can the now gone electron3 dependency get changed to electron3-bin? Thanks!

Terence: I've seen your issue on github( https://github.com/RemixDev/DRemixIssues/issues/51 ) and I also get the same error. If this issue gets resolved I'll gladly update the PKGBUILD.

Is there still a problem setting it up to use the system electron package?

Riverstarship commented on 2019-03-01 05:32

works wonderfully now, thanks! :)

Riverstarship: Ty for your comment. You're correct so I reverted back to using the electron package provided by npm for the time being.

The Electron version provided by the source was intentionally chosen because decryption fails on some newer versions (The previous PKGBUILD works fine). See https://notabug.org/RemixDevs/DeezloaderRemix/pulls/124 and https://notabug.org/RemixDevs/DeezloaderRemix/issues/161

Apparently it's the fault of Electron 4, however I get the relevant error on my machine with v3.1.4, the current version on the community repo.
