In the install function, the binary file git-cz directly install to /usr/lib/git-core instead of ${pkgdir}/usr/lib/git-core, which will work of course, but user can't uninstall this package since the file is not managed by pacman. You can see the package commitizen-go-1.0.0-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst is empty after you run makepkg.

Besides, don't run sudo in PKGBUILD

makedepends automake is a member of base-devel, which can be assumed installed and should not be included in makedepends. [1]

Yes, it works well. I just made a new test to validate it and it works like a charm on a fresh arch install. Running "git cz" works on my side. What command did you try? Is the install has ended successfully?

Did you test it? Not working for me, no file was packaged.
