The first patch is not needed anymore.

Also, the settings patch is creating and installing a backup file, so you should disable that.

patch -Np0 --no-backup-if-mismatch -i "$srcdir/cinnamon-settings-hack.patch"

Kindly tell me, please. Will there be further development of cinnamon? Just a month now, as developers do not make updates. It is also the problem of issues (the battery indicator, sometimes cinnamon restarts itself). Yes, I admit, brought a stable branch, but will further develop? thanx.. (sory for bad english)

@mininessie: That's for the regular 'cinnamon' package. That tarballs are just a snapshot of the 'stable' branch :)
