severach probably refers to the PKGBUILD not following modern guidelines for Git packages (see "VCS package guidelines" in the Arch wiki).
Instead of manually running Git commands, the package should have a Git repository URL in the source field.

I made an updated PKGBUILD in I also took the liberty of replacing the sed commands modifying CMakeLists.txt with actual CMake arguments and some other minor stuff.

Not sure what you mean by "remove the git code." The purpose of this PKGBUILD is to clone CEN64 from its git repository and build it.

The github version is no longer updated. Marathon Man has been working on a new core located at I've updated this to pull from the cen64.git repository. You can edit the PKGBUILD to point to cen64-backport.git if you desire.

Keep in mind CEN64 is very primitive at this point, so there's not much more you can do than test with it. You can get more information about it at
