Unfortunately compiling still fails, with the same error as 3 days ago. See Any ideas how I could solve this?

@Wascar: Thanks a lot for making the latest version available so quickly after my flagging the package as outdated. I really appreciate that.

No idea tbh, I just package it. You might get some insight if you ask the devs.

i see in the source files the linux tray file:

should that file be on my system in some folder? or is it part of the buttercup bin file?

i worked with strace to se i i could find any error's but none show up that lead me to something usefull

zjemm commented on 2018-10-09 18:26

@sum01 i think that too, but i dont know where to troubleshoot this. im just using arc icons, nothing special i understand it takes some time and effort to reproduce this, i took me only 15 minutes to spin up a vm with arch and budgie and install buttercup :) maybe someone else does have the resources to test?

sum01 commented on 2018-10-09 14:32

@zjemm More than likely it has something to do with the desktop environment not finding the svg. Do you have hicolor-icon-theme? Also, I'd rather not setup a VM for something like this.

zjemm commented on 2018-10-09 06:58

@sum01 i was able to replicate the issue using vm's, install plain arch with budgie, and then install buttercup using makepgk

maybe you could give it a go to see if i'm not the only one?
