CO-MAINTENANCE

I don't want this package to get into a situation where it no longer receives updates or patches. Therefore I would like to ask anyone who is willing to take part in the maintenance of the package, to contact me via email!

BINARY PACKAGES ARE PROVIDED IN AN UNOFFICIAL REPOSITORY

The maintainer of this package provides signed binary packages in an unofficially signed repository, which he created and manages himself. These packages are pre-built binary files straight from the PKGBUILD. You can also use them.

why not add this to the PKGBUILD until the upstream fixed it?

As every package has a pkgbase now and split packages share their votes, the vote url changed from /packages/name/vote to /pkgbase/name/vote.
This is a bash script, so you can try to fix it for your local install (change AUR_URL_PKG_PAGE).
However, this requires you to know the pkgbase of the package you want to vote for, a proper fix would include a package to pkgbase wrapper.

@Muflone

I can confirm that. Unfortunately also aurnotify [1] doesn't work either.

Updated to suit AUR 2.3.0

Maybe it's because AUR got updated?

It stopped working for me too. I can check correctly that some package is voted. Then I unvote it but when I check again, it's still being voted.
