I just released a new package that will track the current Enterprise Release(1) version of Jira: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/atlassian-jira-lts/

If you want a more "stable" version, you can go for the current Enterprise Release. Switching between the two is possible if it is a logical version upgrade. So Enterprise Release 7.6 to Normal Release 7.7 is possible.

I've try to modify a newer PKGBUILD, but I don't know how to run it.

Why does it depend on sun-java and not the more up-to-date jdk6 package?

Because it just doesn't work with the release of openjdk in Arch. You get errors on startup but when using sun-java, no problems.

Why does it depend specifically on sun-java?
