I also noticed that you are not using an utf-8 locale when doing the tests.

maybe because the tests try to write to /tmp, please try latest git. please report bugs at

I'm having some problems when compiling astroid in a clean chroot. Any reason this fails in a chroot, but builds just fine when using makepkg?

Thanks for your expedite response and commit. I've already rebuilt the package and everything seems to be working. You can count on me for reporting bugs.

Hi, thanks for the nice feedback. I pushed a change to the github repository which should now result in the .desktop file being installed in the correct place.

If you have any other suggestions or bugs, please report them to the github issue tracker.

Cheers, Gaute

First of all thank you for this nice piece of software. I've been using astroid for more than a month now and it works nicely. I've seen you've already addressed or acknowledged some of the few issues I found using it.

I would like to make a small request for the AUR package itself. I see that you have an astroid.desktop file inside ui/astroid.desktop. It would be nice if it was added to the package and put inside /usr/share/applications.

It is a git package, so it doesn't make sense to flag it out of date. The version number is purely cosmetic. I updated it anyway though!

No worries, nope it was a proper bug :p

Sorry for reporting here, I assumed it was just a packaging problem and didn't notice you were the main author. It works perfectly now, thanks a lot :-)

Should be fixed now, please report further problems at the github issue tracker.
