Shouldn't root install directory be /usr instead of /usr/local ? cmake .. -GNinja -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr

Please change the source to "$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz::"

@ccorail: added as makedepends for astroid-git.

ccorail commented on 2017-11-24 20:16

"marked" should be added as dependency.
Without marked, the "markdown" test fails and so does makepkg.

@gauteh:
thanks. option 1 worked well for me.

@bderembl:

To ensure that astroid and notmuch uses the same gmime (2 or 3); either:

* Uninstall gmime3, leaving only gmime2. Then re-compile astroid.

or:

* Install gmime3 and compile notmuch from source (or possibly AUR).

Once notmuch is compiled against gmime3 by default this issue will solve itself.

I have the same problem as in
https://github.com/astroidmail/astroid/issues/429
How can I ensure that notmuch and astroid use the same gmime library? (and not gmime2 and gmime3)

@gauteh Ah, so they are not compatible. Thank you for the explanation, I found the GitHub issue and project and will follow there.

gauteh commented on 2017-10-19 05:37

@Konzertheld: That is webkit2, astroid still uses webkit1 - although we are working on porting it to 2. Check github tracker.

A package "webkit2gtk" which is supposedly webkitgtk2 is in the official repositories and I have it installed. Still, the astroid package wants to have webkitgtk. Shouldn't it be satisfied or am I missing something? I know there are precompiled packages available but I wonder if I even need one of those. Are webkitgtk and webkitgtk2 not compatible?

I tried removing the dependency from the PKBUILD though but then I end up with:

Meson encountered an error in file meson.build, line 34, column 0:
Native dependency 'webkitgtk-3.0' not found

Now that's a 3 in the version number. I'm confused, apparently there is something to all the webkitgtk and webkitgtk2 and webkit2gtk that I do not understand. Please help me. :)
