@quequotion You're right that going up a directory for the patch is unnecessary, however, the patch should be present in both places when cloning the git repo from the AUR.

Odd, I get the impression it's been there for a long time and no one's had a problem with it, but when I tried to build this package in a clean chroot, PKGBUILD line 24 caused a build failure (no such file or directory):

  patch -Np1 -i ${srcdir}/../transparency.patch

doesn't need "..", since it is already prepended with $srcdir:

  patch -Np1 -i ${srcdir}/transparency.patch

@iv597,
Good news, I was able to reproduce the error on a different machine. After some googling, I found a solution (from here: http://bit.ly/2k5iTE8): Disabling rst2man at configure time seems to do the trick! Let me know if it still doesn't work for you!

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I can't help you there. Even if I follow your steps, I don't encounter any problems... Here is the equivalent snippet from the build process: http://sprunge.us/ZOWQ

Even after a completely clean build (rm -rf'd everything, pulled the package through cower, and built manually with makepkg, so packer wouldn't get in the way), I get the same build errors.

@iv597
Just checked again, and it builds just fine here... maybe try it again with a clean tree!

This fails to build nowadays, claiming there's no rule to build alsaucm.1: http://sprunge.us/cDRC

Just created my AUR to give you a big THUMBS UP for this package. Thanks for making this possible!

Works great with both alsamixer and alsamixer plugins like alsaequalizer.
Thanks alot!
