@capoeira, my primary goal is compatibility with Bitwig Studio. Ardour uses threads in a different way and sadly, the current version of airwave can't work with it.

the .so wont apear in Ardour for me. The scanner wont find it. (path included)
in Qtractor it shows up, but it wont add to a track.

It seems that Steinberg have allowed to download VST SDK without registration, so I've updated the PKGBUILD. Now it downloads SDK automatically.

As far as I see, the PKGBUILD uses personal id (login/password) of concrete account. From a legal point of view, it turns out that the owner of this account violates the agreement. I do not be surprised if it will be banned.

I didn't see that you put your account details in the PKGBUILD ;D
Does steinberg states that those should not be shared?

abique commented on 2014-09-20 07:40

Actually it downloads the sdk from steinberg website. Can we consider that Steinberg is distributing it then?

phant0m commented on 2014-09-20 07:03

@michalrus, thank you for contribution, but Steinberg's license agreement prohibits the distribution of any kind. Your PKGBUILD violates the license agreement, I am unable to use it, sorry.

@phant0m, here, updated PKGBUILD that downloads the SDK itself (and even stores it as a source in $SRCDEST for future builds):

Please, update it here. Thank you!
