for those having issues, this small wrapper script alows us to view acestreams in mpv, just set the script as default handler in firefox for acestream protocol

4javier, finally someone figured this one out. I just used this package: aur/libvpx-1.5 and it works at least with the stream tested, none worked before that.

To use this package you need another old version of libvpx, I created a package. You can find it at this address

Maintainer, please update the dependency, or update the package, because i think acestream 3.1 is out.

acestreamplayer still says "h264 not supported by vlc"; libvpx{,1.3} installed, all listed dependencies installed

acestreamplayer output:
main demux error: corrupt module: /usr/lib/acestreamplayer/plugins/demux/
main decoder error: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `h264'. VLC probably does not support this sound or video format.
mpgatofixed32 audio converter error: libmad error: bad main_data_begin pointer

The libx254-142 dependency would not compile for me but if you switch the dependency to libx254, it installs and seems to run fine. I'm not sure why this build uses the libx254-142, but I think it should be changed to the libx254.

You can run 'make' or 'make fprofiled' now.

got error when compile libx264-142 from AUR.

Instead of symlinking different ABIs stuf, install the libvpx-1.3 package from AUR
to solve the "unable to reproduce x264 content" issue.
Please maintainer, add this package as dependency.

I am not using this package anymore, so I decided to disown it. I hope someone will adopt it.
